MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to invest available resources toward providing a safe, secure, legal, and respectful environment for officers, staff, prisoners, professional personnel, and the community. 

We accomplish our mission by developing and maintaining a professional staff, maintaining effective custody and control of prisoners, assisting the judicial system, and providing prisoners with access to programs which facilitate their opportunity to re-enter society as self-sufficient, contributing members.

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office Jail is responsible for the operation of the Kitsap  County Jail and the Work Release/Jail Alternatives Facility located in Port Orchard, Washington.  For more information on the jail, please follow this link (Jail Information and History).
